Extracting oil from vegetable or animal grease and fat residue offers a sustainable alternative fuel source while repurposing waste materials from various industries, including poultry farms, restaurants, food processing plants, cheesesteak production, and slaughterhouses. This process not only reduces disposal costs but also transforms waste into a valuable revenue stream.
CPS collaborated with a technology partner to develop advanced renewable energy machinery designed to optimize this extraction process. The system heats the base material to its boiling point, applies precise pressurization, and injects it into a decanter with controlled accuracy. Within the decanter, the mixture undergoes mechanical separation into three distinct components: water, oil, and solids. The extracted water is repurposed as a soil fertilizer, the recovered oil is utilized in biodiesel production, and the remaining solids are processed into livestock feed and compost, ensuring maximum resource efficiency and sustainability.
