A globally recognized manufacturer requires precise delivery of its chemical formulation to a vessel, maintaining an exact flow rate, targeted mass, and specific temperature. Due to the flammable nature of the chemical, residue buildup on the vessel during production necessitates thorough cleaning.

To address this challenge, CPS developed an advanced cleaning solution integrating robotic automation and a custom Clean-in-Place (CIP) system. The robotic system securely grasps the vessel and positions it into a specialized CIP holder, where nitrogen is used to inert the vessel’s interior. Simultaneously, the robot rotates the vessel while the CIP system delivers a high-pressure cleaning solution at 700 psi. This innovative combination eliminates the previously high-risk cleaning process, significantly improving safety by mitigating hazards associated with heavy equipment, high pressure, and flammable materials.
