Global health organizations worldwide are striving to prepare for potential future influenza virus pandemics. To meet the anticipated vaccine demand, the necessity for enhanced throughput egg-based vaccine production equipment has become evident. CPS was awarded a substantial project to design and construct custom egg loaders, unloaders, and an egg harvesting system.
Eggs are transported from hatcheries via trolleys equipped with 136 trays, each containing 36 eggs. The trolley loader and unloader precisely feed trays into or remove trays from processing equipment, such as the harvester and inoculators, at an accelerated pace. Notably, the patented design by CPS doubles the capacity and operational speed compared to conventional industry standards.
